...forget not all His benefits! There are SO many!!! There's just so many, and I am sure somewhere along the way, each of us puts aside some few of those "benefits" at some point or other. Since I have been blogging, doing my thankful list, I have really been enlightened on the MANY things we do have to be thankful for. For the simplicity of fresh air to breath, the dawn of a new day, quiet time away from it "all" for 30 minutes (a rarity ....trust me!), right on down the ability to sit and read my bible and appreciate that! Even all the 'things' we have in life that make us happy (like my Twisted Peppermint Body Scrub from Bath and Body Works!)
It's almost a new year! Just as last year, I am going to make sure that not only the material things are appreciated, but the God given gifts we have such as life! :) and Happiness!
In case I don't make it on here tommorrow, I want to wish each and every reader here a HAPPY and WONDERFUL New Year, and may God Bless you ALL! :)
**** HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!!!******
Today I am thankful for:
1. My family!
2. Getting Bandit back to my Mom and Dad safely today. It was so cute to see that little dog just wagging his tail (not just his tail...but his WHOLE entire body) in excitement of seeing my Dad this morning. It was adorable!
3. My stand-up Kitchen Aide mixer my hubby got me for Christmas! I've used it alot, and love it!
4. Getting all our Christmas stuff down and put away today. It doesn't look like Christmas here anymore, the but the spirit is still around us! We love the Christmas holiday here at the Allen household, and remember it and it's reason quite a bit!
5. Nathan getting some work done today outside,
6. Nathan's calmness while working with Natalie along his side. She's only 3, and yet I have not mastered the ability to feel like I am getting anything done when she works with me, undoing what I have just tried to do. Hopefully someday I will learn how to manage the task! :)
7. Having the time to go through some of Natalies' baby clothes and pick out quite a few her 'a boy can wear that too' kind of clothes (yellows'/ greens/plain blue jeans/ reds etc. ).
8. The way God allows certain situations to be controlled. Our preacher is sick and in the hospital and, I was called to be told that we were meeting for fellowship and communion, but probalby no sermon cause there wasn't a preacher to cover available. So I offered my Dad's ordained very capable skills of preaching for our church, before speaking with him. It turned out that he really can preach and is going to. So I am excited to have my Dad preach at my Church tommorrow! :) ~ Thanks Dad!
9. A very productive day here at my house! :)
10. The weather. It's December folks, usually in the 20's 0r 30's. It felt like 50's today! Great weather to work in! :)
*Please remember in your prayers our preacher, Bro. Jim Hazlerigg. He's in the hospital, doing some better than yesterday, but still very weak. Receiving some IV's, and rehydrating, fighting a bacterial infection. He's should be out the first of the week.
