Happiness is not a destination, but a day by day journey.

I spoke with a friend last night (Stephanie), and I think through our conversation, this idea above is something we both can appreciate. I was so happy to talk with her last night, not just b/c she is my friend, and has been for about 10 years now, but for another reason. Without being unsaid...she's been through a LOT, with herself, her family, and her friends. The GREAT NEWS, is that Sunday night, at the church she and her husband and two daughters have been going to for some time now, SHE and her HUSBAND were BAPTIZED together! That is so AWESOME!!!! Her words to me were: "Amy, NOONE could have warned me, or prepared me or even told me of the feeling I felt when I came up out of that water. Now ya'll....that made me excited! :) Praise God for her commitment to Him, and Rejoice in the Lord always!
Today I am thankful for :
1. Stephanie getting to know God as her Saviour! (and Scott too!)
2. God's amazing ways!
3. My cousin Sarah, she's so sweet! I love that girl!
4. The phone call from my Mamaw the other day! We were on the phone for oh, probably an hour!
5. Today, Natalie seems to be doing somewhat better. Now, if I can just get it the mess out of her chest. She's having a hard time breathing.
6. I am thankful for talking to Stephanie last night! It had been too long since we talked last.
7. Thankful for my Mom! I was thinking, and in prayer with God last night, and I was really thanking God for her. She's the only person in this world who has ever known all my inadequacies. And too, she's the ONLY person who's helped me to over come a whole lot of them!
8. I am thankful for my husband. And....the two days he's supposed to have off this weekend! :)
9. for the mail delivery we just got. Natalie got a book in the mail from her Great Aunt Judy and Great Uncle Danny! ;) It's a very cute little book, for her to "read while I am busy with the baby when he gets here!" Great idea you guys! :)
10. for the sugar cookie recipie that Carrie shared with me. Thanks a million Carrie!

Hey, dear little daughter,
I share your happiness for Stephanie and Scotty. I will pray that they continue to rejoice in their relationship with our marvelous Saviour, Christ Jesus. Nothing that we have ever done is too great for Him to forgive if we just ask. His blood already made atonement for our sins. I thank God for His indescribable Gift regularly.
I love you, Amy. I'm thankful for you too, more than you know.
Mom
