OH Happy Day!!!!!!

Today was a very good day!
I got a BRAND new pair of NIKES!!! (haven't had a new pair of NIKeS in a almost two years!!)
Natalie and Bradley had a wonderful day!
That blue and green afagahn? (sp?) Mom made for Bradley when he was born....well, he doesn't go to sleep without it. So, we get up in the am....carry it to the sitters house, .....bring it home.....make his crib with it....same routine the next day. Even if it's 98 degrees outside! (yeah...it gets HOT!)So, through a talk with my Mom...I told her "Mom...I think I am going to try and do him just one roll of that yarn into a square size peice, and perhaps we can carry a smaller one around !" WELL......she volunteered to do a very small one for him! :) LUCKY me !:) thanks Mom!
Tina.........you are so welcome for the Birthday gift! ....the miniature b-day party...and all our lovely smiles! :) We were so glad to be so close!
Mom...I LOVE You!
Now....in other text.
My cousins wife, Carrie, has opened up some very interesting SOOTHING topics on her blog. WOW! I was so thankful to know that other people let clothes mildew in their washer. (I do too...you know...let stuff sit in there washed a day or two...and have to wash them again, promising myself to tend to them afterwards this time!) Man...I thought I was really getting lazy in my old age...but it ISN"T just me! : )
On that topic...I read her blog again today, more on a broader topic....just plain ol'e keeping house.
Let me tell ya, I until 4 months ago, used to run around like a chicken with its' head cutt off, rubbing my finger in the nooks and crannies and corners pulling out the tiniest dust bunnies of my floors. Can't stand dust, HAATE HATE HATE walking on my kitchen linolieum, especially barefooted with ANYTHING under my bare foot! (okay...I still sweep my kitchen floor 20 times a day), however,
Picking up after Natalie's drug all her toys out, putting up every bib, or burp rag, or blanket we've used for the baby that day, or keeping everything thing like I am gonna have company every 10 mintes...that's for the birds.
I really didn't realize how much of a problem I created for MYSELF until I visited a friends house in May. And did her house EVER look like some kids lived there. That was the moment (silently) I felt horrible , wretched, for keeping such a tidyed up house.
So Carrie...I am with you now...my main job is my kids...I am aMom, why it took me so long to realize that, I'll never know. It still kinda bothers me that people have to search for a sit to seat themselves in when they come to my house for my kids' things being all over the couch, however, I don't want my kids feeling like that can't have their stuff out at home.! That's more important people! They are only little once.
~ so...Carries blog inspired mine today!~ :)

awwww, housekeeping, the worst, most over-rated, under-appreciated job in the world!!! Yuck! and, Thank you Amy, I also thought I was the only one that washed clothes and then had to rewash them because they stayed in the washer too long...(a couple of days!)

Amy, don't underestimate yourself; your are the best little housekeeper that I know. I don't know how you do it and still are the greatest Mommy to your children ever! I am so proud of you! Love, Mom
