My car is getting worked on today, so I am working from the house. (A perk of my job I reckon!) I have 500 Rubber Duckies to sort and return to Culligan Water today. :) They sponsored all these ducks for the 1st Annual Little River Duck Races, for Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Kentucky, Cadiz during the recent Ham Festival here in Cadiz. (Lots of links hey....but there's been a lot going on! )
So....so to speak...I have Blessings to count...one that I am able to have my car fixed and still do my job...at home! :)
I also have ink toners to package, and mail, and some references to call and check on. I also need to call some local factories and industries to inquire about their future Mentors through the ITEM grant at HCC which we (BBBS) are partnered with.
On to mention some more fun informations, we had a great weekend! :) Saturday we just stayed around the house. Natalie and I did some grocery shopping, and Nathan and Bradley worked in the yard. (of which I need to finish and sweep!) Sunday Nathan enjoyed football all day, and of course he watched the Nextel Races on Saturday night. Bradley enjoyed the SpiderMan 3 movie twice....he's enthralled in it. He also likes Shrek, Sponge Bob, and the Incredible Hulk. All boy....what can I say?
Natalie and I did her nails, and she and I went to Once Upon a Child yesterday. We totally LIKE this store. Mom introduced me to it when Natalie was just a baby, and we've been getting some really cute clothes there ever since. :) Today was her school picture day, so she chose this outfit, which we got yesterday! :) She got several other cute sweatshirts and sweaters from the Children's Place, and Old Navy at $3.00 prices! :) I LOVE IT !:)
Bradley has been busy! He's quite a challenge for us, while the day care says he's a perfect little gentleman, and our parents (mine and Nathans) say he's just fine when they've had the chance to keep him. Which is two days a week for my MIL. In fact, she encourages me to drop him and leave on those two days, b/c he's in disaster mode until I leave. He's a boy after my own heart though. He's me made over, although in a male body. It's so crazy that Nathan and I notice more and more that Bradley's actions and attitude are so ME, and Natalie's actions, behaviors, and attitude are SO much like him. He went through a few weeks before Natalie's ear surgery where he was wanting to potty train, we purchased unerroos' and all that good stuff. Now, he's hiding behind the couch to pee or poop. When we try to avoid a mess in the 'pull-up', he becomes very defiant. So...he's regressed? Not ready? Who knows.....it will happen in due time I rekon.
