Natalie update

So, as most of you know, Natalie made it through her surgery wonderfully! It was the coming out of it that slowed her down. For several hours afterwards, everytime she moved, she would 'hurl'. I felt so bad for her, but there was nothing else we could do for her. They made the decision to keep her over night, gave her various anti-nausea medications, and none of it helped. Around 4:00 a.m. she woke me up wanting jello, wanting to go get her own drink in the nourishment room, wanted to watch t.v., and her day had startred. Around 6:00 a.m. we finally went back to sleep, after a dose of pain medication. The Doc. showed up at 7:35a.m. ! We had a short discuussion about her, and her needs, and we were on our way. We left finally around 9:00 a.m.! :) I was SO happy!
Natalie got home around 11:00 a.m., and was blessed to see her Daddy and brother. :) Her 1st grade class called her and sang the Friday song with her, and wished to get better soon! (how sweet!) Her 1st grade teacher (the infamous Tina, and "Mrs. Lane" as she is 'in' school) visited briefly after school was out! :) Her class had all made her cards! They are the cutest little cards....where will I store them!?
Natalie, was invited to two birthday parties, one friday night (after coming home from the hospital), and the other on Saturday. Both were ones she really wanted to go to. So, I relented and monitored her stays at each. Friday night, she was just fine, she sat on the edge of the pool, and chatted with her girlfriends! Saturday, I really had to keep her on her feet! She was feeling so much better, and wanted to do things like jumping on the trampoline, and running around, riding bikes. She just can't do any physical activity like that for 3 weeks. :( Makes me feel so mean. But oh well, we do what we need to do for our kiddos! I don't want another surgery b/c this graft of the eardrum (tympanoplasty) didn't take! NOT AGAIN!
So...anyways.
I've been reading up on a friends (from highschool) blog on how to shop like she does! :) I'll let you know if I have sucess, and might even ask if I can share her blog with you too!
