Thanksgiving!

We had a terrific Thanksgiving here at the Allen household!
My Mother in Law had been in Hospital prior to, and up to the day of! She was discharged as we hoped right in time for Thanksgiving lunch. We were so happy to have her home!
Things were a bit different this year. We usually host Thanksgiving lunch for both our families at the same time. This year, we did it in two different meals. Which has its' pro/cons. We liked both, and either way.
Nathans family came at lunch. My family came in at supper. My mom was traveling with my Grandmother, and we were not wanting them to 'rush down the road" trying to get here by 12:00 noon. So, the reason for two meals.
We put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving! My Mamaw got to get in on that fun with us, as she stayed two night with us here. She seemed to have enjoyed doing this with us.
My kids enjoyed the company of everyone as usual.
We did miss however, going to Nathans family's house for desserts and just simple gathering. Our names were drawn at that time for Christmas prestents, (the adults). We normally like gettnig together with them all. However, there's gotten to be SO many little kids in his family, that sometimes I think the chaos is preferrably eliminated with the subtraction of just one family. So, we were fine doing supper at my house with my family instead! :)
All is great!
