""So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" Luke 11: 9 ! Wow!!! How true is that! I tell you what...that has been my verse of prayer for probably the last year! (atleast). I have searched and searched, my heart, my mind, my Bible, and my strength for quite a while now over which church my family should be comfortable in calling our "home". Nathan and I have visited so many churches. Either he was happy and content, or I was soley content and happy, not once have we both walked out of a church and not felt complete contentment. TODAY, we did! :) The look, smile, and tears that were in my husbands eyes gave me showering joy of happiness that I knew he'd enjoyed that church, it's service, it's members, as much as I did, when he looked at me walking to our car after the service. Wow! I am so excited!
Ya know, even though we'd visited many churches, with his Mom, with our neighbors Tina, Mark and Madison, with my brother, with his friends, as well churches where we knew not one person. Not to say that we didn't enjoy being in church with our friends, b/c we certainly felt comfortable with our friends/ family. But I never felt like we were ever in the "right place" for us. Today, I think we both experienced that feeling. All along, I think Nathan would have been happy just picking a place and going there, but not me. I believe he understood my desire to search and seek for the right place during the service today. I guess this is just something each person just needs to experience on their own, b/c I can't explain it anymore.
Today I am thankful for:
1. Roaring Springs Christian Church
2. Nathan and I seeing the same contentment during the church service today!
3. Spending time with Nathan and Natalie today, just doing nothing!
4. Knowing that Mark is "okay" so he says....he fell off a ladder last night...bless his heart!
5. Getting Marcie's phone number! (thanks Tina!)
6. Going to Wal mart today!
7. That Natalie is OKAY! She had quite an accident today at Walmart....(she fell out of the buggy:( )
8. I got my food order put into GFS for the Nursing Home a while ago, here at home.
9. Nathan taking me to look for a new Bible, and new Bible cover today. We didn't get one b/c the Lifeway Christian bookstore was closed, but I did see some that I liked at Books a Million. He wanted to look in Lifeway first!
10. Needing a new bible cover! :)
11. oh yeah, the chair that I sit in here at our computer desk....:o) The back of it VIBRATES to help my back out!
12. Natalie looking through all the books at Books a Million today and seeming to have really picked out a Veggie Tales book! and then a Noah's Ark book, and then a Prayer book, and then a My first Bible with so many pages in it, and many many more books!
13. Natalie knowing who baby Jesus is...everytime she would see him in a book she would say very loudly "LOOK MOMMY, IT"S BABY JESUS!!!!!!" When I showed her pictures of Jesus as a Man, she would say "no mommy, Jesus is a baby!" :ol (that's okay right....she's still got to remember that he grew up too! )
14. Natalie keeping her barney slippers away from Gizmo, so he doen't chew them up.
